In 2014, I had the opportunity to visit Cairo and Luxor in Egypt. Our hotel in Egypt had a view of the pyramids! In Luxor we visited temples and viewed the statues and obelisks up close. We also visited a rock quarry where they demonstrated how the rock and marble is carved for sculptures. Later, we sailed down the Nile River and visited an island for a delicious lunch. We also visited Queen Hatsepshuts tomb. I enjoyed my trip and would love to go back again one day.
